Services
At Innova Counseling Services, we provide an array of counseling services. From mental health help to relationship counseling, we offer a multi-modal approach to cater to your individual needs, personality, and thought processes.
Children (Ages 8-11)
Children need time to trust before opening up parts of themselves that hurt. Some approaches I use include: playing games, art therapy; play therapy; sand trays; and behavior therapy. The goal is to gently earn their trust to be able to explore their thoughts.

Adolescents (Ages 12-18)
For adolescents, approaches such as sand trays, art therapy, games, music therapy, and engagement through other activities opens up the communication between therapist and client. Teens carry much on their minds and at times they need help coping with what they carry inside.
Adults (18 and up)
For adults I include some assessments such as: lifestyle assessments; ACE score; and other depending on what we are wanting to treat. I use EMDR for trauma and PTSD, and any other approach I esteem will help my client.

Academics
Children, adolescents, and young adults sometimes experience academic challenges. At Innova we can support parents and children with behavioral interventions; navigate special education and 504 services; and understanding the whole person and their needs during academic challenges.
Couple's Therapy
In Couples therapy the goal is to understand each other better, identify blocks in the relationships, and learning new ways to relate. At times, the two individuals will have personal goals to work on as well as couple goals. The preferred method is the Gottman Method.
Parenting
Children experiencing academic challenges also face emotional turmoil. As a parent understanding how to help a child, understand the school systems, or knowing how to advocate for a child. I will use academic records, testing results and other resources to support the child and the parent through this process.

Personal Growth Groups, Grief Support Groups, Women Support after abuse, and Career Counseling Groups available
Career
Many individuals arrive to a point in their lives in which they need guidance and support to make decisive educational or career moves that match the goals they have. Through career counseling a client can expect to go through a problem solving process, personality tests, and career assessments to support the client choose a path.
Trauma
Traumatic events affect the way we related with others and the world and many time they impair, limit, and/or affect the way we function in life. Trauma is an event in which a person believes their life and safety are in danger. At Innova we offer EMDR therapy, which is an approach endorsed by WHO (World Health Organization) and APA (American Psychiatry Association) to treat trauma.
Pricing
Sessions are available virtually or in-person from our office in the Arlington Highlands. We offer individual, couple/family, and group counseling in either English or Spanish.
Individual $ 125 / hr.
Couples/Family $ 150 / hr.
Group Counseling $ 50 / hr.
